It is a proven fact that people are often deterred from committing a crime if and when they feel as though they are being watched. Whether they are really being watched or just the illusion of visibility is created, criminals prefer to work in the shadows for a reason. Use round convex mirrors to see when crimes happen in a convenience store to reduce theft, create a safer environment, and ultimately protect your merchandise and income.

Some business owners may initially turn to a camera and recorded surveillance system, but this may not always be possible. Often to keep a recording of the businesses daily activity can get expensive and is only as successful as the employees responsible for changing or loading new tapes. It is not uncommon to just install a camera as seeing it may discourage petty crimes. However, hardened criminals have caught on that these cameras rarely work and are not dissuaded by their presence. Meanwhile installing even a camera that doesn’t work can and often is more complicated and expensive than just installing a mirror and is just as successful in discouraging minor thefts.

One of the biggest expenses to convenience stores outside of normal operating costs is in loss of product. While a teenager stealing a candy bar may seem like a very small crime, these costs can add up to hundreds and even thousands a year for unprotected businesses. While these types of theft may be prevented by a vigilant cashier, no one can keep an eye on everyone at all times. When using a round convex mirror to keep and eye on the shop, an employee can watch more of the store more clearly to help reduce and catch would be thieves. Even when not being watched, a petty thief may feel as though they are being watched when they see their large reflection holding a candy bar staring right back at them in the mirror. Often times they will put the product back or even better just pay for it. This uncomfortable feeling of being watched will be remembered and they will often not even return for more attempts at theft.

Theft is not the only crimes that happen at a convenience store. People looking to deal in illegal activities will often choose a public but hidden place to conduct business. A quick transaction between drug dealers, for example, or an underage person trying to get alcohol or tobacco products out of another patron often occurs in the back of a convenience store to hide from the eyes of the public. By installing and using a convex mirror, these criminals will at best take their illegal transactions elsewhere, or at least outside so that the business can no longer be held responsible for the activities happening inside their business.

Of course the scariest and most expensive crime in a convenience store is the possibility of an armed robbery. Many criminals will “case” a business prior to the actual robbery and seeing that they will be highly visible to cashier and passerby alike will often discourage them and they will move on to easier prey. More often than not the criminal takes a moment to pump them up and also waiting for all other customers to leave before the attempted robbery. By giving the cashier the increased visibility with a round convex mirror you may be able to buy them added seconds to push an alarm, draw their own weapon, or in some other way apply the anti-theft plan in place.

Some businesses in high threat crime areas may want to consider the installation of more than one mirror allowing for employees to watch the entire store or even allowing for people outside of the business to better see what is happening inside.

Telescopic inspection mirrors are useful and portable security tools that are used to check hard to see areas. They are often used in a business context in high risk industries or in businesses where there may be a high theft rate. There is often a need for security in organizations; many businesses now employ dedicated and trained security staff to screen visitors and employees. This is to try and reduce the exposure to risk that the company has. Checks carried out by security personnel will usually include scanning bags and having individuals walk through scanners. This can be furthered however by checking vehicles with telescopic inspection mirrors. This allows organizations to make sure that no dangerous or harmful items are being smuggled onto the premises. This can include weapons and explosives. In addition telescopic inspection mirrors allow companies to check for items that are being stolen, and taken off property in a concealed manner.

Inspection mirrors are very simple devices that allow individuals to check hard to reach places for a number of items. They allow visibility in areas such as under car and truck bottoms and in high up cabins etc. This gives vehicle inspectors an advantage in that they can easily analyze areas that they would have had difficulty reaching beforehand. Telescopic inspection mirrors also allow the security staff and employees to inspect dangerous or hard to reach areas without putting themselves at risk. If the individuals were to be physically on their hand and knees checking under vehicles they could easily injure themselves. This could come from if they come in contact with dangerous items or from tripping and injuring themselves. With the distance gained when using telescopic inspection mirrors then they are at much less risk.

Telescopic inspection mirrors have a distinct advantage over normal vehicle inspection mirrors. The advantage they hold is that they have retractable shafts, this allows them to telescopically elongate them when viewing is needed. Vehicle inspection mirrors are usually 4 to 6 feet in length which makes them quite a large item. However if this length can be shortened down via a telescopic pole then it makes them more portable. It is much easier to store telescopic inspection mirrors than standard vehicle inspection mirrors. They can be stored in cupboards or cabinets where as a standard 6 foot mirror would need a larger storage area. Telescopic inspection mirrors are also more lightweight as the inside of the elongated pole is hollow to allow telescopic retraction/extension. This makes them more nimble when operating them and means they can be transported about it larger quantities. When it comes to security speed is also a crucial factor as well as safety.

The lightweight and other appealing features of telescopic inspection mirrors make them a very appealing choice. They can be used quickly when needed, and easily stored when they are not. In terms of a practical security tool telescopic inspection mirrors are near the top.

Acrylic mirrors are used for their toughness and safety; they provide greater strength than standard glass. Their increased strength layered construction means that they can provide resistance to pressure up ten times that of standard glass. They are constructed of a chemically advanced durable material. This has added surface layers of acrylic polymer paint, and then coated over the top of that with polyurethane coating. It is said that in addition to the safety and strength advantages that acrylic mirrors bring they also product a brighter reflection. This is due to the reflective coating absorbing less light than traditional plate glass.

Acrylic mirrors are basically a lightweight plastic mirror that can be easily fixed in a number of forms to a number of different surfaces. They are often used in situations where there is a need for security and stability. Places that use acrylic mirrors include police stations, night clubs, children’s play areas, shops and anywhere that is open to security risks. For example police stations cannot have glass mirrors as there are often violent individuals who will try and smash or break things. There is also risk of people resisting being moved around the police station which could smash traditional glass mirrors. This puts both police officers and members of the public at risk. Acrylic and Perspex does not shatter and is therefore much safer for this kind of environment. The same theory goes for night clubs where sometimes fights can break out and there is a lot of jumping around in general. Therefore having a wall mirror that is vulnerable to smashing is a very bad idea. Especially seen as how people will have been drinking alcohol in this environment and will have a lower sense of awareness of their surroundings. Equal in danger is a children’s play area. In these environments children are excited and often run about aimlessly. This usually involves a lot of bumps and bashes, clearly this is not an environment to have breakable or potentially harmful mirrors.

Acrylic mirrors replace the traditional glass plate mirror without any loss of utility or purpose. In fact many argue it is better due to it having a brighter reflective image. Many types of glass mirror are more commonly changing to acrylic mirrors such as the garden mirror and the convex mirror.

Acrylic mirrors are also a lot easier to move around and install. This is due to their low weight and flexibility. For example a large sheet of glass plate mirror would normally take two or more individuals to carry and install it. The same job with acrylic mirrors could be done with one individual. This therefore saves money on installation and labor costs.

In conclusion, they are more lightweight, more sturdy and durable and can be installed and maintained easier than glass mirrors.

stores or in single isles of larger stores. This is because their reach is limited to a short distance range; so it’s better to monitor a small area well. They can be used for larger area, but it becomes harder to observe what is happening in distant areas.

Convex mirrors work by spreading the light that hits them to show an observer a wide viewing area. They use the same physics as a fish eye camera lens. Convex mirrors are curved in an outward dome shape. This means that any image that hits the mirror is spread, thus allowing the individual looking at it a wider viewing angle than a standard mirror. They are also used in certain scenarios to allow drivers to see round corners. This could be at a closed off or dangerous junction. The installation of convex mirrors allows drivers to see if there is traffic coming round the corner which is in their blind spot. Similarly shop keepers can use them to see an area of the store that would otherwise be blind to them.

Convex mirrors are helpful in detecting shoplifters; they allow the inspection of shopper’s activities without being intrusive. Therefore if the owner or worker sees an individual stealing from the shop they can rectify the problem. This is a much better way of finding out about theft than after it has happened. All retail stores succumb to stock loss through theft, it is a costly business and any step that can be done to minimize this effect is positive. Convex mirrors not only do this but they are much cheaper than alternative security measures such as CCTV cameras. CCTV requires continuous recording at a remote location, this uses electricity and requires time to watch back footage. The convex mirror allows real time detection and not reactive identification of theft. The only downfall is that unlike CCTV it is not recorded, so if prosecution is necessary there is only witness evidence.

Safety is a priority in all businesses; it is a wide issue and covers safety to staff and customers. Any tool that a business can use to protect the safety of themselves and others is extremely helpful. If it is affordable then it is probably worth investing in. Convex mirrors do just that, and they can help with other issues than shoplifting too. For example if a customer or individual has a weapon such as a knife or gun the police can be called. It is harder for them to conceal a weapon when the “eyes” of the cashier assistant are effectively spread over the whole store.

For a small investment this type of security mirror can save a lot of money, trauma and emotional loss in a business.

When you come home late at night, can you really see everything that’s going on around you? Maybe you have to enter your home or apartment building on a side entrance that isn’t very well lit. if this is the case, then you should start thinking about some various security devices that might make your life just a little bit easier. For instance, if you invest in a security mirror, you could have a much easier time seeing if someone might be waiting in a dark shadow or around the corner when you least expect it.

Even if you live in a seemingly safe neighborhood, it’s still best to give some thought to your personal safety just so that you aren’t the victim of an unnecessary attack. Even the safest neighborhoods in the entire country experience some amount of crime, so you should never feel as though it’s wise to completely let your guard down in these areas. Rather, it’s smart to always have a keen sense of what’s going on around you.

For some additional information on how to stay safe regardless of where you are, you might want to read through a security blog for some ideas. Reading though articles is an extremely easy task, especially if you opt to read through them on the Internet at your convenience. You won’t have to bother with driving out to the bookstore or library in order to learn everything that you could possibly need to know on this topic.

In addition to putting up some mirrors around the perimeter of your property, you could also think about installing some additional sensor lights. That way, when you are walking home late at night, at least you will be able to see a clear path to your door. People are much less likely to attack you in a well lit area, so these lights will ultimately be an invaluable investment since you’ll be able to find your way home and not worry if you stay out late with your friends.

How safe do you feel when you walk home late at night? If you feel the slightest bit uncomfortable when you are walking home when it’s dark outside, then you should probably do something about this fact. There is no reason for you to live in fear just because you would like to go out with your friends from time to time. One excellent way for you to make your home or apartment building safe would be to invest in some security mirrors to put up all around the perimeter of the building.

It’s quite easy to install these mirrors all on your own, so you won’t even need to bother with asking your landlord for some help with the installation process. This is also a good thing because you won’t have to hire a handyman to come out to help you out, so you’ll be saving a bit of money. It’s very easy to find these mirrors as well if you just do all of your shopping on the Internet as opposed to trying to find them at a local hardware store.

Read through a security blog if you would like to find out some other good uses for these mirrors. You might want to put some up in a dark alleyway that’s adjacent to your home just so that you can get a better idea of whether or not someone has followed you into this location. Or, you could just put the mirrors up around your driveway so that you can know if your property is safe at all times.

Once these mirrors are up at your residence and you realize just how helpful they can be, you might want to think about adding some to your business as well. These mirrors are quite helpful in a retail establishment because they will be an immense help when it comes to loss prevention. By just looking at these mirrors, you won’t have any trouble whatsoever trying to figure out if someone is stealing some of your inventory.

Do you happen to have a long and winding road that leads to your home that is somewhat difficult to navigate? If this is the case, then it might be in your best interest to make it a little bit easier for your visitors to get to your home when you invite them over. A very easy and cost-efficient way for you to accomplish this goal would be for you to just put some convex mirrors up around the road to your home and also in the driveway. That way, people can just rely on these mirrors to let them know where to drive.

You might be sick of telling people to exercise caution when they are driving to your home, and you also might not want to stand in the driveway telling them how to back out, especially if the weather conditions are bad. If you just put up some mirrors, then these things won’t be an issue anymore. You won’t have to worry about giving people special instructions related to coming to see you anymore.

It’s very easy to put up these mirrors all on your own. If you feel like you could benefit from some additional help putting them up, then you should just look through a security blog on the Internet. Since so many people these days are interested in finding out more about how to stay safe when they’re at home, it shouldn’t take you much effort to find some very helpful articles

You also should make sure to bookmark these articles for future references. In addition to the mirrors, for example, it might be a good idea for you to put up some additional lighting fixtures as well. Do whatever it takes to make your home as safe as possible. You certainly won’t want to face a potential lawsuit if someone happens to get into a dangerous accident while they’re on your property.
