Netanya

North of Tel Aviv is the city of Netanya. Netanya is known for the beautiful beaches. There is a beautiful promenade where you can walk along the beach.

In the south entry to the town there is a big new industrial area, in which you can find a big shopping center near the famous swedish label ikea. after walking through the shops you can sit in one of the many coffee houses and restaurants around. also you can go bowling or karting.

If you are looking for excitement you can try sky diving near hotel Hakarmel.

The center of town is around the Midrahov (pedestrian zone) which is the best place to eat your first Falafel or Shawarma, just before you take the stairs down to the beach. When you will get hungry after sitting all day in the sun you can walk to the northern-most promenade and find yourself a good variety of restaurants.

in the summer you can join a lot of free different entertainments organized by the local municipality. On saturday you can watch folk dancing performances at the Ha-atzma'ut square.

Netanya has a beautiful Iris reserve, this is a spectacular sight if you happen to be in Netanya during spring (around april).

Just south of Netanya there is the kibbutz Shefayim famous for its water amusement park and a big outdoor shopping center of famous labels.

Not far north lies Tel Dor; a beautiful beach next to four small islands. Tel Dor has an archeological site just past kibbutz Nachsholim beach. another place to visit is Ein Hod which has a large community of artists living together.
