Safed Israel
Not far from Amirim is the city of safed (Tzfat- in hebrew),
an old spiritual charming city. Safed is rich in small beautiful
small stone buildings, and small pathways, a pretty light
blue color surrounds the city. The Fresh
air and holy feeling will no doubt capture you. The
city lays on Knaan Mt, and the view from
up the top is spectacular.
Safed Israel is famous for the fact that many important Rabbi's
are bred here. It is an Israeli custom to visit these graves
and pray there for good health or for good luck on finding
your soul match.
There is an annual festival in this town, A Clezmer festival.
held each summer. The clezmer is a word for different old
musical instruments, mostly played to celebrate Jewish holidays.
This festival is great but make sure to book your hotel rooms
in advance as they tend to get full.
Further down from Safed lays Rosh - Pina,
a sweet pretty small town, with a big sip ritual community.
There is a wonderful Organic shop called "Drora's Herb
farm", this shop belongs to the famous Israeli writer
of a great herbs and spices books.
It can be a nice day to Keep going north and you can get
to Manara cliff where there is the longest cable in Israel
from which you can watch the view of the Galilee and the Golan
heights.
On the northern-most point near the Mediterranean coast lays
Rosh Hanikra. there is a kibbutz called Rosh hanikra where
you can volunteer in, as helpers in the farm or at the bananas
or avocados fields. in this kibbutz there is a local pub open
on weekends where you can buy a cheap beer and get together
with the young generation of the kibbutz
Make sure you don't leave the Galil with out swimming in
the great "Shcne" river and stopping at the famous
Hamat-Gader (-were you can see crocodiles and bathe in the
hot springs) |
